My family and I moved to Acton from Burbank in 1998 and later built our dream home in Agua Dulce in 2003. After some time and effort, I was able to leave my profession in post production and start earning my living locally as a licensed Arborist and a Realtor. My wife Robyn and I have been proud AADUSD parents for the last 13 years.
Over the last 20 years, I have volunteered in our community in various ways from coaching to planting trees and gardens at our local schools, to removing graffiti around town. Apart from serving on and heading various local committees, I have served the last eight years on the Agua Dulce Town Council and also on our School Board for nearly ten years, including being unanimously elected to 3 terms as president, a position which I currently hold.
Recently, when I started to give consideration to running for a third term on the board, I did some soul searching and chose to base my decision on two factors: First, whether I feel that the 5-member board has done a good job of accurately representing the voice of our constituents to the various government agencies and secondly, whether I feel that there are pertinent issues facing our school district that I feel engaged and concerned about. My candid answer to both questions turned out to be a yes. I feel that we have a functional board comprised of dedicated community parents that bring a unique set of skills to the table, each coming from honest hard-working professions which are diverse in nature and therefore beneficial to the district. Also, I still care passionately about several issues that our district is currently facing. Chief amongst them is safety measures to make our campuses more secure and our children safer. Another matter I care deeply about is the phase III construction of VHS presently underway and the pending renovations to Acton School in order to make room for our elementary students and relieve the overcrowded conditions at Meadowlark. Lastly, apart from fostering an environment of administrative accountability and fiscal responsibility, I’d like to make sure that IF our community votes for another bond this November, I can be there to do my part in making sure that its proceeds get allocated in the exact manner that was promised to our community. Thank you for your time and consideration.

"My greatest inspiration in life would definitely have to be my father. He had an extremely difficult upbringing, but despite everthing in the universe being seemingly determined to hold him down, he was able to preserve and make something of his life. Every time I feel like I'm going through something hard, I remember that he can and has handled far worse. My dad is the strongest person I know and I hope to be at least 1/100th the man he is. He is everything I aspire to be. Hardworking, smart, kind and willing to face anything that gets in his way. He motivates me to keep going every single day."
